Description

We are only able to show 20 photos per lot. More photos available of inside the unit available by request. This is a 1953 AMi E80 jukebox that has been fixed up and restored. Has book.  The amplifier has all new capacitors and resistors. The tubes were checked and are all good. The selection pins were all taken out, cleaned and tested good. The mechanism was taken apart, cleaned, lubed and reassembled. All new wiring was installed for the mechanism and lighting. New belts are installed. The bottom color cylinders rotate. The cabinet was stripped, sanded and painted a nice gloss red to match the inner parts. All of the aluminum trim castings were polished shiney. This juke box holds 40 records for 80 selections. All 80 selections play every time. This is a good sounding machine that looks great. As you can see in the pictures the right grill has a small piece missing. These can be found on eBay. The front glass has a crack in it so I put a silver decal on it. The replacement glass can be bought online. This jukebox has all the coin gear however it is on freeplay. This would make a nice Christmas gift for that '50s room or mancave. This will be full of records.AMI, which began in 1909, was originally called the National Automatic Music Co before changing its name to the Automatic Musical Instrument Company after World War 2. AMI manufactured jukeboxes between 1927 and 1962.
